By Dr. Masiku Phiri

“ZMA is not the National Executive Committee (NEC) only.  It is built and sustained by ZMA members across the country — by you.”

I believe, without apology, that every ZMA member deserves to be heard, seen, and represented — not just in times of crisis, but at all times.

No doctor should feel like a passenger in an Association that was made for them. Whether you are a student just joining the profession, a rural medical officer working in isolation, or a veteran physician at the peak of your career — your voice matters.

When decisions that affect all of us are made without quorum, without listening, and without accountability, it is not only unconstitutional — it is unjust.

This campaign is about reclaiming the voice of the membership. It’s about recognizing that strength lies not in the few who hold power, but in the many who give ZMA its purpose.

Every membership fee paid, every suggestion made, every petition signed — it all counts. You count.

And under my leadership, you will never again be treated like a bystander in your own Association.

Let’s remind ZMA what it was meant to be. Let’s build an Association where every member counts.

Every Member Counts
